The Guardian covered rehabilitation work being done by Heritage Foundation of Pakistan in Sindh, Pakistan after 2022 floods.

The Guardian covered the story of the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan (HFP) building affordable and sustainable homes while empowering communities in Sindh, Pakistan. The buildings look like rounded chaurahs, but are octagonal in shape and are sturdy enough not to be swept away if more floods come. Prefabricated bamboo frames are built on one metre high raised platforms. The HFP has helped build more than 5000 chaurahs since September 2022.
