The Heritage Foundation, with the support of DC South Karachi Altaf Sario and his team, has taken up the transformation of Kharadar Chowk into an eco-street as part of its Meri Gali Mera Shehr initiative. The transformation includes reclaiming land encroached by the local mosque, restoration of an old police chowki, plantation of trees, putting terra cotta pavers to absorb rain water and avoid flooding, among other things. The local community members and shopkeepers are fully supporting the Heritage Foundation in its efforts.

Transfer of Barefoot Social Architecture model to Malawi, Southeast Africa is being undertaken by the Heritage Foundation with on ground support of Ms. Safeeyah Moosa, CEO Spiritual Chords. Funding for this project is being done by the Re: arc Institute.

The Heritage Foundation takes up the rehabilitation of katchi abaadi behind PSO House into a sustainable, eco-friendly community hub. Existing living conditions are appalling, there are piles of garbage everywhere and electric wires running all over are a serious hazard.

DC South Karachi, Altaf Sario headed a brief by the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan, for PSO Pakistan officers on plans to decarbonize Abduallah Haroon Road from Hotel Metropole to Park Tower. Work will commence on the first segment, from Hotel Metropole to Teen Talwar very soon.
